What was your situation when you were looking for a service provider?

I’ve been a hairdresser for 40 years, and at this salon for 15 years. The salon hadn’t changed for about fifteen years and was in need of a refurbishment. I previously had eight styling stations and six technical stations for colouring and highlights: I wanted to reverse that. I also wanted to invest in a barber’s station. That’s now been done. We carried out the work during the summer of 2017 and reopened in August.

I found them very easily online, by typing “hairdressing salon furniture” into Google. I contacted several suppliers. Some got back to me, others didn’t. The difference was when the person from My Salon rang me back and explained how they worked.

What ultimately convinced you to buy your equipment from My Salon?

Firstly, I didn’t want to buy equipment manufactured outside Europe, and this shop met that requirement. Secondly, I appreciated the supplier’s honesty and advice. They say what they do and do what they say, which is very much appreciated by a hairdressing professional.

What did you order from the retailer?

We bought 14 hairdressing chairs, one barber’s chair and five hairdressing basins from My Salon, two of which have a massage function. Everything was delivered on time on 10 August. The supplier even drew my attention to a delivery detail. Nothing was broken on arrival. It was perfect.

And since then?

We’re absolutely delighted! I’ve had lots of very positive feedback from my clients. In particular, I’m told that the hairdressing basins with the massage option are very comfortable: they make no noise, and the massage is gentle and pleasant whilst remaining discreet. And that’s exactly what we want! The feature mustn’t become intrusive. The people it’s intended for feel at ease.

What’s more, everything works perfectly… and I should point out that we see between 40 and 60 clients a day. Finally, it’s worth noting that hairdressers no longer have to hunch over whilst working with these new chairs. That’s a real plus. And I’ll say it again, I was impressed by the supplier. I didn’t get the chance to visit their showroom in Lyon, but their advice over the phone won me over.

Have you used My Salon again since refurbishing your salon?

Yes, I needed rings to secure the hairdryers. Once again, the supplier was impeccable: they sent me two samples right on time, so I was able to make my choice at my leisure.

Would you recommend My Salon to fellow hairdressers?

Absolutely: they’re very trustworthy and deserve to be better known.
